Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

1. Beta Program

Tern AI is currently in closed beta. Access is by invitation only. By using the platform you agree to these terms. Enterprise pilots are opening first — you are among the first users helping shape the future of strategic communication.

2. What Tern AI is

Tern AI is an AI-powered strategic communication platform connecting enterprises, newsrooms, and creators for trusted, bidirectional, real-time collaboration at scale.

The platform serves:
- Communications teams at enterprises, brands, and agencies — for media outreach, stakeholder management, influencer coordination, and pitching
- Journalists, editors, and newsrooms — for receiving verified pitches, managing sources, and real-time stakeholder collaboration
- Influencers and content creators — for brand partnerships, collaboration management, and content pipeline tracking
- Brands and advertisers — for influencer discovery and campaign management through verified stakeholders

3. Beta disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is" during the beta period. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We may reset data during the beta. Do not rely on the platform for critical business operations. Tern AI is launching publicly in 2026 — the beta exists to validate the platform with real users before general availability.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account or beta invite code with others. One account per person — organisation accounts are created separately and linked to individual users.

5. Acceptable use

Tern AI is built to democratize media and enable trusted collaboration — not to enable spam, harassment, or misinformation. You agree not to:
- Send unsolicited, irrelevant, or mass communications to journalists or creators
- Impersonate any person, publication, or organisation
- Fabricate press releases, briefings, or verified credentials
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours
- Use the platform to spread misinformation or unverified content
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

6. Media database

Tern AI maintains a database of journalist and creator profiles sourced from publicly available media lists. These profiles are created by Tern AI and remain unclaimed until the journalist or creator signs up and verifies their identity. If you are a journalist or creator and wish to update, claim, or remove your profile, contact us at hello@ternai.tech.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform — pitches, messages, press releases, briefing documents, and files. By submitting content you grant Tern AI a limited licence to store, display, and transmit it solely as needed to operate the service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

8. AI-generated content

Tern AI uses AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) to assist with pitch drafting, contact discovery, and search. AI-generated suggestions are tools to assist you — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any content before sending it to journalists, creators, or stakeholders.

9. Privacy

Your use of the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including for violation of these terms or misuse of the platform in ways that harm journalists, creators, or other users.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tern AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including any outcomes from pitches sent, coverage published, or collaborations arranged through the platform.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
